- ACTIONS DEVELOPED:
+ A Tourist Information Office accessible to All People.
o Tourist information points: Casa Paquet and Escalerona are accessible, and have the TUR4All accessibility badge, awarded by PREDIF.
o Magnetic loop system, as a system to improve care for people with hearing disabilities.
o Gijón/Xixón tourist brochure in Braille to provide destination information to people with visual disabilities.
o Easy-to-read brochures: “Cimavilla Neighborhood” and “Gijón Museums” to provide information to everyone.
- An Accessible Destination.
+ More than a dozen kilometers of accessible routes discover the Gijón/Xixón friendly and open to all people through:
o Four accessible routes that have detailed information on recommended establishments and adapted public services. Designed and endorsed by the State Representative Platform for People with Physical Disabilities (PREDIF).
o Accessible services: around thirty establishments, from transportation, accommodation, restaurants and complementary activities distinguished with the TUR4All seal, guarantee services adapted to people with special needs.
o One of the best beaches in the country for travelers with reduced mobility: Poniente Beach.
