Pozo de la Barquera

Its name refers to the area used to beach boats before the construction of the pier.
It was used between the sixteenth and eighteenth centuries to make public the election of the council positions and they proceeded to the oath and the taking of possession of them before the people.
In the same square, archaeological remains of an ancient Roman salting factory were found.
