Ladislao Menéndez’s villa

Manuel del Busto, 1907
We owe other works to Manuel del Busto such as the Chalet de Ladislao Menéndez, in the Plaza de Europa -formerly Paseo del Velódromo-, designed in 1907.
The house, with its very careful mouldings, reflects the influence of Art Nouveau in the ornamental details, light, flat and at the same time notoriously simplified and refined with respect to the previous work. Its most remarkable element is an angular tower-kiosk, a solution that crowns the whole complex.
