Casa del Marco. Museum of the Peasant House

The Casa del Marco, which owes its name to the frame that, hidden under the bench of the old kitchen, delimited the councils of San Martín and Grandas de Salime, was until a few decades ago one of the strong peasant houses of the municipality of San Martín de Oscos. Today it has become an Interpretation Center of the culture and traditions of San Martín de Oscos, thanks to which neighbors and visitors can remember and/or know, among other topics, the technological adaptation of the population of the municipality, the social organization within it, the cultural identity, the rites and beliefs that for centuries, and even today, are a hallmark of this town.
