Exhibition “Windows to the Prado”

From October 8 until January you can enjoy the exhibition “Windows to the Prado” in the Cimavilla neighborhood.
The project, the result of the close relationship between the Prado Museum and the Gijón/Xixón City Council, has been carried out thanks to a proposal prepared by the La Rectoral studio. On the façade of the Tabacalera will be projected works by 25 artists such as El Greco, Goya, Diego Velázquez, Albrecht Dürer, Louis-Michel van Loo, Bernardino Licinio and the Asturian Miguel Jacinto Meléndez. There will be 28 windows where the portrait of Gaspar Melchor de Jovellanos will occupy a leading place, also highlighting the work of Dürer’s Adam , the largest image of all, reproduced almost life-size in the arch.
