Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
- ACTIONS DEVELOPED:
+ Improvement, optimization and business consolidation of the tourism sector:
o Signing of Agreement Gijón Transform for economic recovery, the transformation of the productive fabric and the creation of quality employment.
o Creation of the Tourism Board.
o Proposal for debate forums on the challenges of employment with different social agents and companies in the local tourism sector.
o Collaboration with specialized training centers and entities, e.g. C.I.F.P Hospitality and Tourism, Master of Tourism Planning and Management from the Universidad de Oviedo, as well as with professional associations.
+ Commissioning of Visita Gijón Professional:
o Improvement of communication towards professionals in the tourism sector regarding regulations, aid, current news, training, management programs,… through traditional and digital channels: newsletters, social networks, instant messaging, etc.
o Provision of tools that improve their competitiveness and promote their growth and evolution: Gijón Data Lab, Gijón/Xixón experience booking portal…
